CRUSTY MEXICAN BEEF 
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans, undrained
1 (6 oz.) pkg. cornbread mix

Brown beef, onion and garlic, drain. Stir in tomato sauce and chili powder. Spoon into greased 8x12x2 inch casserole. Top with cheese. Spoon beans and liquid over cheese.

Prepare cornbread mix as directed. Pour over beans and spread evenly. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until cornbread is golden. Serves 6.
