Duncan Hines Supreme strawberry or cherry cake mix
1/2 c. Crisco oil
2 tbsp. water
2 eggs
Few drops red coloring, optional
1 c. nuts, chopped, optional
Maraschino cherries, quartered

Blend cake mix, oil, water, eggs and coloring. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Press cherry piece on top of each. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. I have made lemon cookies with this recipe, iced them with lemon icing.
