FRENCH VANILLA FROSTING 
4 1/2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. water
1 egg
2 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. soft butter
1/3 c. Crisco

Bring to a boil the sugar and water. Beat in the egg. Add powdered sugar. Keep beating well adding vanilla, butter, and Crisco a little at a time. Spread.
