REFRIGERATOR BREAD 
3 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 c. milk
2 pkgs. yeast
1/2 c. water
6 c. flour
Cooking oil

Put shortening, sugar and salt in large bowl. Add scalded milk. Sprinkle yeast in warm water. Let stand until soft - then add to milk mixture. Add 2 cups flour and beat until smooth. Stir in rest of flour as needed. Keep dough soft, knead dough for 5-10 minutes.

Cover dough and let stand for 20 minutes. Divide into two loaves. Put in greased pan. Brush oil on top. Set in icebox 2-24 hours. Let stand 10 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 50 minutes.
