1 egg
1 c. chopped squash, cooked
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. self-rising meal
1/4 c. self-rising flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix all ingredients together. Drop by spoonful into hot grease.
