CRANBERRY PEAR RELISH 
3/4 c. sugar
1 lb. cranberries
2 - 3 tbsp. water
1 pear, chopped
2 tbsp. lemon juice

Boil water and berries until berries pop open. Add chopped pear and sugar. Cook at low boil for 15 minutes, stirring several times. Add lemon juice, stir, take off heat and put in container. Serve with poultry or instead of cranberry sauce.
