BILL'S BEST MARYLAND CRAB SOUP 
2 cans vegetable soup
2 cans Manhattan clam chowder
1 bag frozen mixed vegetables
2 tbsp. Old Bay Seasoning (or more)
1 lb. (or more) crabmeat
2 lbs. beef cubes, optional
Steamed crab parts, optional

Combine everything in a pot except crabmeat. Add beef cubes at this time and 4 soup cans of water. Bring to a boil and then simmer 30 minutes. Add crabmeat and steamed crab parts (claws, legs, etc.) at time of simmering.

Yields 10-12 servings.

Dont ever put potatoes in your crab soup. The starches clash with the crab, absorb too much flavor, and ruin the soup. Thats the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

This comment is in reference to the adding potatoes to crab soup is stupid...I live in Maryland the Crab state and I have eaten only a few crabs soups without potatoes! So for the person that likes the boiled potatoes in your soup, keep on cooking to your liking it is a common practice!
