BANANA-CRANBERRY BREAD 
1 3/4 c. flour
2/3 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. mashed bananas (about 2)
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 c. cranberries, coarsely chopped
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease loaf pan. In large bowl combine with fork first 5 ingredients. With pastry blender cut in shortening. With fork stir in remaining ingredients until just blended. Spread batter evenly in pan. Bake 55 to 60 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove and cool completely.
