1 lb. raisins
2 sm. chopped apples
2 c. sugar
2 heaping tsp. shortening
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Boil above mixture 5 minutes. Allow to cool. Add: 1 tsp. salt 1 heaping tsp. baking soda

Use greased tube pan. Bake 1 hour in a slow 325 degree oven.
