CHOCOLATE PEPPERMINT CREAMS 
3 c. flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
3/4 c. butter
2 tbsp. water
12 oz. chocolate chips
2 eggs

PEPPERMINT CREAM:

3 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
1/8 tsp. peppermint extract
1/4 c. milk

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

In saucepan heat brown sugar, butter and water. Add chocolate chips, stir to melt. Beat in eggs.

Sift together dry ingredients and stir into chocolate mixture.

Drop by heaping teaspoons on cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly then remove from pan.

Put a dab of peppermint cream in the center of a cookie and press with another to make a sandwich.

Peppermint Cream: Blend 1 cup powdered sugar, butter and extract. Beat in remaining 2 cups powdered sugar alternately with milk.
