PEACH KUCHEN | |
2 c. flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. butter 4 peaches or apples, skinned and sliced (if plums - peeled, pitted and halved) 1 c. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon 8 oz. sour cream 2 egg yolks Knife together flour, baking powder, salt, 4 teaspoons of the sugar and butter until it is cornmeal consistency. Pat into an 8 x 8 inch pan halfway up the sides and arrange the peaches on top. Mix the rest of the sugar with cinnamon and pour over peaches. Bake 15 minutes at 400 degrees. Mix sour cream with egg yolks and pour over mixture already baked. Bake 30 more minutes at 400 degrees. Note: You can substitute peeled apples or peeled and pitted plums for the peaches. |
