FAVORITE MACARONI AND CHEESE | |
1/2 lb. (8 oz.) uncooked macaroni 1 tsp. butter 1 egg, beaten 1 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. salt 1 c. milk 3 c. grated sharp cheese Boil macaroni in water until tender and drain thoroughly. Stir in butter and egg. Mix mustard and salt with 1 tablespoon hot water and add to milk; set aside. Add cheese to macaroni, reserving enough cheese to sprinkle on top. Pour into greased casserole; add milk, sprinkle with reserved cheese. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes or until custard is set and top is crusty. |
