ix together, reserve: 1/2 c. walnuts, chopped 2 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 c. sugar ream together: 2 sticks butter 2/3 c. sugar ift together: 3 c. cake flour 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. sour cream (substitute Carnation evaporated milk NOT diluted with vinegar Grease large tube pan. Add dry ingredients and sour cream alternately to creamed mixture, and beat well. Place one layer of batter in bottom of pan, then sprinkle with nut mixture. Repeat twice more until completely used up. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Someone gave me this recipe at least 20 years ago. It's been so long I can't remember who Jo was, but her cake is delicious. |
