FROSTED MINT DELIGHTS 
3/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 (7 oz.) pkg. mint chocolate wafer candy (Ghirardelli's mint candy wafers)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preheat oven to 400°F.

Cream shortening and sugar together. Add egg and vanilla. Sift flour, cocoa, salt and cinnamon together. Add to creamed mixture. Mix well.

Form into balls the size of a walnut. Place a ball on the cookie sheet, then a piece of candy on to of the ball and press down until the cookie is the same size as the candy.

Bake at 400°F until lightly brown on bottom, about 10 minutes.

Makes about 3 dozen.
