Cream:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda dissolved in
1/2 c. cold coffee

Sift and stir in:

1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg

Add:

1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts
1 c. chopped apples

Pour into 2 round cake pans or an 8 x 12 inch pan. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. This is very easy to make and very good.
