2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
3-4 tbsp. cold water
2/3 c. shortening
Blend flour and salt in mixing bowl. Add shortening and cut into flour mixture. Then form into ball of dough that is neither sticky nor dry. Sprinkle with water. Divide dough in half. (If time permits, refrigerate for 30 minutes). Place dough between 2 sheets of waxed paper. Roll out dough from center to 1/8 inch thickness. Roll outer edge, 1 inch larger than pie pan. Remove top sheet of waxed paper. Fold in half and remove from lower sheet of paper. Then, lift gently into pie pan. (to bake a single crust, prick holes in bottom of crust and bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Coat top of pie crust with milk so it doesn't burn.
