1 (18.25 oz.) pkg. devil's food cake mix
1 large egg
1/2 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Mix first 3 ingredients, stirring well (dough will be sticky).

Shape dough into 3/4" balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar and arrange 2" apart on an ungreased or parchment-lined baking sheet.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until done. Cool on wire racks.

Makes about 5 dozen.
