SLOPPY JOE PIE | |
1 1/2 c. packaged biscuit mix 1 tbsp. parsley flakes 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomato sauce 8 oz. thinly sliced cooked beef (from deli), chopped 1 (1 1/2 oz.) envelope Sloppy Joe seasoning mix In a large bowl combine biscuit mix and parsley. Add 1/3 cup water, stir until moistened. Reserve 3/4 cup dough. With lightly floured hands pat remaining dough onto the bottom and 1 1/2 inches up the sides of an 8 x 8 x 2 inch baking dish. In a saucepan combine corn, tomato sauce, beef and seasoning mix; heat through. Spoon tomato mixture over dough in dish. Drop reserved dough by small spoonfuls around edge of dish on top. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until dumplings are golden. |
