1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. nut meats
1 c. dates
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. boiling water
1 tbsp. butter

Mix first 6 ingredients thoroughly. Set aside. Mix brown sugar, boiling water and butter. Pour into a 9"x9" pan. Add mixture that was set aside. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.
