SLOPPY JOES 
1 tbsp. shortening
1/8 c. cider vinegar
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. celery, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. mustard
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 c. ketchup

Brown meat in shortening. Add onion, green pepper, and celery. Cook until vegetables are tender and can be easily pierced with a fork. Add remaining ingredients. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Serve on toasted buns.
