CHOCOLATE TOFFEE CANDY | |
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. On a cookie sheet, line with aluminum foil. Lay unsalted saltines on sheet (completely). 3. Chop 1 cup walnuts; set aside. 4. Melt 2 sticks butter, dissolve 1 cup sugar. Boil for 3 minutes. 5. Spread butter and sugar over crackers. 6. Bake at 400 degrees for 5 minutes only. 7. Put a 16 ounce bag of chocolate chip bits on top. They melt in a few seconds. Spread to even out if necessary. 8. Sprinkle nuts. 9. Chill in refrigerator. 10. Cut in squares or break up. Makes great gift. Looks pretty in a Mason jar with a ribbon. |
