LETTUCE CASSEROLE 
1 lg. head iceberg lettuce
2 med. Spanish onions
1 can English peas
1 c. chopped celery
2 hard cooked eggs
1 c. bacon bits
1 pt. mayonnaise
3 oz. Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. sugar

Layer 1/2 of first 6 items, then repeat layering with second half. Spread mayonnaise over top and sprinkle Parmesan cheese to which sugar has been added. Cover with wax paper and store in refrigerator for 24 hours.
