OLD FASHIONED LEMON BREAD 
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. oil
1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel

In large bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Separately, beat eggs with milk, salad oil, and lemon peel. Add liquid mix to flour mix, mix until just blended. Pour batter into greased and floured 5 x 9 loaf pan. Bake in preheated 360 degree oven for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven and with thin skewer poke numerous holes top to bottom of loaf. Drizzle hot glaze so it slowly soaks into the bread. Let bread cool on the pan 15 minutes, remove cool completely and refrigerate.

LEMON GLAZE:

4 1/2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar

Heat until sugar dissolves.
