BROWN SUGAR NUT COOKIES 
1 c. brown sugar
1 stick of butter
1 egg
2 c. cake flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream sugar and softened butter. Add beaten egg, flour, soda and salt. Add vanilla, fold in nuts. Drop by teaspoonful onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Yield: 4 dozen cookies.
