GREAT GRANDMA IDA'S NOODLE KUGEL 
1 lb. pkg. medium width egg noodles
1 stick butter (may substitute butter)
3/4 c. white granulated sugar
4 lg. (extra lg. or jumbo) eggs
1 pt. sour cream
1 lb. cottage cheese
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Cinnamon
3/4 - 1 c. golden raisins
Large baking pan

Cook egg noodles as per instructions on package and drain. Mix in almost 1 whole stick of butter while reserving a small quantity to grease the pan. Add 3/4 cup of white granulated sugar. Beat 4 large (extra large or jumbo) eggs and mix in. Add 1 pint of sour cream and 1 pound of cottage cheese and mix in. Add 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and sprinkle in cinnamon and mix. Add 3/4 to 1 cup of golden raisins and mix. Transfer the mixture to a large deep baking pan. Sprinkle cinnamon over the top. Bake for approximately 1 hour at 350 degrees (if your baking pan is shallow the baking time may be decreased).

Reheats very well with microwave. May also be frozen and re-used at a later date. May be eaten warm or at room temperature.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
