J & J's WHITING CASSEROLE | |
8 to 10 med. whiting fillets 6 oz. macaroni (1/2 of 12 oz. bag) 1 can cream of celery soup 1 can cream of corn soup 1 (4 oz.) can green chilies, chopped 1 cup (more or less) monterey jack cheese Salt and pepper to taste Meat of 1 crab (optional) Cook macaroni until medium done. Drain. Place whiting fillets on a plate or a shallow microwave dish. Cover and cook about 3 or 3 1/2 minutes in microwave. Drain and flake with a fork. In a large bowl, mix the 2 cans of soup, the chilies, the macaroni and the cheese. Mix in fish and stir well and season to taste. Pour into microwave casserole and cook for 7 to 10 minutes at high temperature. Serve with a tossed salad and some hot garlic bread. Great casserole for Lent. |
