GRANDMA BARRY'S DOUBLE CHOCOLATE
CHIP COOKIES
 
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
1 egg
3/4 c. softened butter
1/3 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt 1 cup chocolate chips. Cool slightly. Measure flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugars, eggs, butter, milk, vanilla and melted chips. Stir just enough to blend. Mix about 1 minute. Stir in remaining chocolate chips. Drop on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
