FEAST DAY COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
2 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
6 c. all-purpose flour
4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. cinnamon

In a large bowl, beat together 2 cups of sugar and shortening until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat until well combined. Stir together flour and baking powder; add alternately with milk to sugar mixture. Using half of the dough at a time, roll out on a lightly floured surface to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Stir together 3 tablespoons sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle over cookies. Bake on a greased cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven about 15 minutes or until golden. Makes 60 cookies.
