WEDDING COOKIES 
1 c. butter, softened
3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. finely chopped pecans
additional powdered sugar

Beat butter at medium speed until creamy. Gradually add 3/4 cup powdered sugar, beating well. Add flour, mixing well. Stir in vanilla and pecans. Shape dough into 1 inch balls, place on ungreased baking sheets.

Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool slightly. Roll warm cookies in additional powdered sugar. Cool completely on wire racks.

Makes 4 1/2 dozen cookies.
