ZINGY MAC 'N CHEESE | |
1 package of turkey sausage 1 cup chopped onions, hot peppers, a red pepper, and mushrooms all together (more to fit the serving) 1 box of macaroni noodles 1 medium bag Cheddar cheese 1 stick butter 1/3 cup milk Brown turkey sausage. Dice vegetables, and combine them in a measuring cup. Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Drop macaroni into boiling water; add just a drop of olive oil. Combine vegetable with the turkey. Sauté over medium heat for several minutes; reduce heat to a simmer for a few minutes more. Once the macaroni noodles are cooked (not mushy) drain water, and transfer to a serving dish. Stir in the milk, butter, and cheese. Add the dry ingredients to the serving dish and mix well with the noodles. Submitted by: Caitlin Elder |
