GRANOLA BARS
2/3 c. light corn syrup
1 rounded c. peanut butter (crunchy's best)
4 c. granola (Nature Valley Granola cereal is best, if you can find it!)
Raisins, if desired (approx. 1/3 c.)

Pound the granola into small pieces, if necessary (use a food storage bag and a small hammer). If using raisins, add to granola; set aside.

Pour corn syrup into a large pot. Bring to a boil and boil just 1 minute. Remove from heat and add peanut butter (quickly, while syrup retains heat). Blend thoroughly. Add granola mixture and blend thoroughly. (It's tough to stir!) Turn into a well-buttered 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan and press down well (with buttered fingers). Cool and cut into squares. Store in reasonably air-tight container.
