SOUR CREAM CHEESE POTATOES 
2 lbs. frozen hash browns, thawed
2 sticks butter
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 c. onions, chopped
1 pkg. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 pt. sour cream
1 tsp. salt
Dash of garlic salt
2 c. cornflakes

Mix all ingredients except 1 stick butter and corn flakes. Put in greased casserole (9 x 13 inches). Melt other stick butter and pour over 2 cups cornflakes. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. Can be made up ahead of time.

Variation: 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, decrease topping ingredients to 2 tablespoons butter and 1 1/2 cups cornflakes. This can be frozen in oven dish until needed.
