RICE PUDDING 
3 c. milk
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 stick butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 c. raw rice
1 egg
3/4 tsp. vanilla

Combine the first 4 ingredients in a pot on medium heat; bring to a boil add rice, reduce heat to low, cover and cook about 30 minutes, stir often. Beat eggs in a bowl and slowly add half the hot mixture to egg. Stir constantly. Pour back into pot with rest of hot mixture. Heat stirring for about 1 minute. DO NOT BOIL! Turn heat off stir in vanilla. Serve warm or chilled.
