TEXAS STYLE CHILI | |
3 lbs. ground chuck 1 lb. hot bulk sausage 3 med. onions, chopped 4 cloves garlic, minced 1/4 c. chili powder 2 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tbsp. ground oregano 1 tsp. salt 2 (28 oz.) cans whole tomatoes, undrained & chopped 3 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained Combine ground chuck, sausage, onion and garlic in a Dutch oven, cook until meat is browned, stirring to crumble meat. Drain off pan drippings. Stir in next 6 ingredients. Cover and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Add beans and simmer an additional 1/2 hour. |
