TANDOORI CHICKEN 
2 (3 lb.) chickens, skinned and cut

MARINADE:

2 c. yogurt
1/2 c. lemon juice
2 tsp. cumin powder
2 tsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. cardamom powder
1 tsp. cinnamon powder
1 tsp. red chili powder (optional)
Sm. amount of paprika or food coloring (optional)
1/2 tsp. ginger-garlic paste

Make slashes in the meat and rub salt lightly into the chicken and set aside for 10 minutes. Marinate chicken in remaining ingredients for 6-8 hours. Cook in an oven at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or barbecue on a grill outdoors.

Make this by grinding equal amounts of ginger and garlic. Excess should be tightly sealed and refrigerated for no more than a week
