SHEPHERD'S PIE 
2 lbs. ground beef
2 onions and 2 carrots
1 tbsp. tomato paste
1 tbsp. oil
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. beef broth
1 c. cooked mixed vegetables
5 potatoes
1 tbsp. butter

Cook and mash potatoes; put aside.

Brown beef in oil. Pour off excess grease. Stir in carrot and onion finely chopped. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in tomato paste, flour and broth. Add cooked vegetables.

Put all in casserole dish or very deep 9 inch pie plate. Top with mashed potatoes. Dot with butter and cook 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Serves 6.
