STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS 
3/4 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 lb. ground pork or chopped ham
1/3 c. uncooked white rice
1 onion, grated
1 egg, beaten
Salt and pepper to taste
6 green peppers, tops removed, seeded and washed
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 c. water
2 tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. hot red pepper flakes if desired

Combine ground beef, pork or ham with rice, onion, salt and pepper. Mix thoroughly. Use the mixture to stuff the green peppers about 1/2 full.

Place stuffed peppers upright in slow cooker. Combine tomato sauce with water, sugar and pepper flakes in a bowl. Stir until blended and pour sauce mixture over green peppers. Cover pot. Turn on low and cook for 6 to 8 hours. Serves 6. Enjoy!!
