APRICOT NUT BREAD 
1 c. dried apricots, soaked 30 minutes in warm water
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. soft butter
1 egg
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. orange juice
2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. double action baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. nuts, chopped

Mix sugar, butter and egg thoroughly. Add liquids. Sift dry ingredients and stir into liquids. Drain and chop apricots. Add apricots and nuts to batter. Let stand 10 minutes before baking at 350 degrees in a greased and floured loaf pan. Test for doneness.
