THUMB PRINT COOKIES 
1 c. Fleischmann's butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
2 egg yolks
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 egg whites
1 c. fine chopped nuts

Mix thoroughly butter and sugar. Add vanilla then egg yolks. Stir in flour. Mix until dough forms a ball. Refrigerate overnight. Let softens lightly then form in 1 inch balls. Dip in slightly beaten egg whites, then roll in chopped nuts. Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet. Bake 5 minutes in 375 degree oven. Remove from oven, press thumb into each. Bake 8 minutes longer. Place candied fruit, jelly or icing in thumbprint. I use frosting colored to the season.
