VERY SPECIAL LEMON BARS 
3/4 c. flour
1/3 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. coconut
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/8 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
2/3 c. confectioners' sugar
1 tsp. lemon rind

Mix flour and butter until consistency of cornmeal. Pack evenly into 9x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Beat eggs, add sugar, coconut, nuts, baking powder and vanilla. Mix well. Pour over first baked mixture and bake about 30 minutes longer.

Mix juice, sugar and rind. Pour over bars the minute they come out of the oven. Cool, cut into bars.
