FRIED OYSTERS FOR A CROWD 
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 c. buttermilk
Flour enough to thicken
Pinch of salt
Pinch of pepper
1/2 gal. oysters, drained

Mix beaten eggs, buttermilk, salt and pepper with flour enough to make of pancake batter consistency; use large bowl. Dump oysters into mixture, coat well, remove with spoon and dip in mixture of cracker meal and flour seasoned with salt. Place on tray lined with paper towels until ready to fry.
