ONION RINGS 
1 lg. onion
2 c. self-rising flour
2-3 tbsp. sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. buttermilk
Water

Mix all ingredients except onions together with enough water to make a pancake batter consistency. Coat rings of onion in batter and deep fry at 375 degrees (or high on wok) until golden brown.
