GARLIC BREAD - NEAPOLITAN STYLE | |
1 loaf Italian bread, unsliced Grated Italian cheese Bread crumbs, seasoned Italian olive oil (virgin olive oil preferred) Salt Pepper Garlic powder Slice bread into 1" to 1 1/2" slices but do not cut all the way through, leave slices attached. Sprinkle both sides of each slice with oil, cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder and bread crumbs to taste. Wrap entire loaf in tin foil and place in hot oven, 350 to 400 degrees for approximately 10 minutes. Unwrap and bake for 2 to 3 minutes longer to brown top of bread and allow crust to become crisp. Serve warm. |
