HAM AND BROCCOLI CASSEROLE 
1 c. rice
2 (10 oz.) pkgs. cooked, frozen broccoli
6 tbsp. butter, melted
1 c. onions, chopped
3 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. milk
1 lb. ham, cooked & chopped
6 slices American cheese

Cook rice according to package directions. Spoon rice into greased casserole. Cover rice with broccoli. In frying pan cook onions in butter until soft. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture bubbles. Stir in milk, continue cooking and stirring until mixture thickens and boils for 1 minute. Add ham, heat one minute. Pour over broccoli in casserole. Cover with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbly and lightly browned.
