SPAGHETTI - CRUSTED TURKEY PIE | |
6 oz. uncooked spaghetti 2 eggs, beaten 1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese 2/3 c. dairy sour cream 1 tbsp. butter 1 package (about 1 1/4 lb.) fresh ground turkey 3/4 c. chopped green pepper 1/3 c. chopped onion 8 oz. can tomato sauce 1 tsp. garlic salt 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves 4 oz. sliced mozzarella cheese Generously butter pie plate, 9 x 1 1/2 inches. Break spaghetti into halves. Cook in boiling salted water until tender; drain. Mix eggs, Parmesan cheese and warm spaghetti. Pour into pie plate. Pat in bottom and up sides of pie plate with back of spoon. Spread sour cream over bottom. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Heat butter in large skillet over medium-high heat until melted. Crumble turkey into skillet; stir in green pepper and onion. Cook until turkey is no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic salt and oregano. Simmer 10 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Spoon turkey mixture over sour cream. Bake 25 minutes. Arrange mozzarella cheese on top. Bake until cheese is melted. Makes 6 or 7 servings. |
