GERMAN COOKIES 
1 lb. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. flour
Pinch of salt
1 c. nuts, chopped
4 eggs
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger

Beat eggs well. Add brown sugar. Sift dry ingredients; add and mix well. Press dough into a jelly roll pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Immediately glaze with a mixture of powdered sugar and water (thin mix). Allow to cool. Cut into squares.
