POTATO KUGEL 
9 potatoes, grated
4 slices bacon
1/2 onion, chopped
1 c. milk, boiled
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp. (heaping) sour cream
Dash of salt
Dash of pepper

Put potatoes in colander and press out juices. Cook the bacon and keep the grease. Combine potatoes, bacon, onion, and hot bacon grease. Pour into 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Pour milk over the top. Pour on egg and sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until top is light brown. Serve immediately or let flavors blend overnight. Serves 6.
