CREAM PUFFS 
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
1 c. flour
4 eggs, beating one at a time

Place water in saucepan. Add butter, stir until melted. Add flour and salt. Stir fast. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture leaves side of pan and looks like mashed potatoes. Remove from heat, cool 1 minute. Add eggs, one at a time. Drop large tablespoonfuls of mix 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

Shape with wet spoon into mounds with peak in center. bake 10 minutes in hot 450 degree oven. Reduce to 400 degrees for 2 to 5 minutes longer. Cool. Cut slits in top of each puff. Fill with favorite pudding.
