1 c. butter cream
1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt

Add the powdered sugar to the butter cream and add egg. Beat well and add remainder of ingredients. Refrigerate dough short time. Roll out dough. Cut into shapes and bake at 375 degrees for approximately 8 minutes.
