SOUR CREAM KIFLE | |
DOUGH: 2 c. flour 1 stick butter 8 oz. sour cream 1 egg yolk FILLING: 2 c. chopped nuts 3/4 c. sugar 2 tsp. vanilla Soften butter, cut in flour as for pie dough. Mix egg yolk and sour cream and add to flour mixture to form dough. Divide into four balls. Chill 1 hour. Roll each ball, one at a time, into a 12" circle. Sprinkle one-fourth of nut filling mixture on top of circle of dough. Cut into twenty-four pie shaped pieces. Roll each pie shaped piece from widest part to tip. Put on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. (Dough can be made ahead of time and stored in refrigerator overnight.) |
